ITWeb: Samsung and Itec team up

Samsung has entered into an agreement with Itec that gives the office automation giant the exclusive distribution rights in southern Africa for the Samsung SCX-6122 MFD, a 22 page-per-minute, segment one monochrome multi-functional device (MFD).

"Itec is the premier office automation business in South Africa and has excellent coverage through its franchises," says Piers Proctor, country manager for Samsung. "The deal makes great sense for us as Samsung has a highly competitive product for small office/home office, SME and departmental needs; however, we have not had the route to market through an office automation company that is serious about growing market share through partnering with leading manufacturers. We will be doing our utmost to support Itec by ensuring the availability of the SCX-6122 MFD, and providing a product that is very well priced, feature-rich and easy to operate."
