Frank Mullen, COO of Itec Enterprise Solutions, says that businesses are truly seeing the benefits of converged communications from an operational perspective. "The ability to combine different services from a company perspective – in particular the internal infrastructure in an organisation – is helping many companies gain great efficiencies,” he says. However, he adds that the use of converged network infrastructures should be examined on a case-by-case basis. "It depends on the quality necessary, the spend, the ROI, the cost of equipment, functionality, and reliability,” he explains. "Companies must take all of these factors into account before deciding on a strategy.”
